FORMULA
Each dose contains attenuated Newcastle disease virus lentogenic strain rP05, with a minimum titer
10 7.5 CEID 50% /mL.
INDICATIONS
Lyophilized live virus vaccine for the immunization of healthy birds against Newcastle disease.
ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGE
Ocular or Nasal:
-Administer by diluting each 1,000 doses in 30 mL of sterile diluent (bringing the diluent to room temperature is recommended to facilitate solubility).
-Ocular or nasal administration, one drop (0.03 mL) per chicken.
-These routes are not recommended for presentations larger than 2,500 doses.
Drinking water:
-The water dispensers and containers used must be clean before administration and free of any disinfectants that could inactivate the virus.
-Be sure there are enough water dispensers for all chickens to drink the solution; it is recommended that 75% of chickens consume it simultaneously.
-Keep water dispensers out of the sun.
-Do not allow the chickens to have access to water for one to two hours prior to vaccination (depending on ambient temperature).
-Remove the aluminum seal and rubber cap from the vaccine vial.
-Add skim milk or other stabilizer to the water before vaccination.
-It is recommended to pre-dilute the vaccine in a volume of 15 liters of clean, disinfectant-free water, then dissolve it in the total water to be supplied to the birds during vaccination.
-Add the vaccine solution to the water dispensers.
-Administer during the first morning feeding.
-Do not give water to the birds until they have consumed all of the vaccine solution. After vaccination, birds must consume clean, disinfectant-free water for the next 24 hours.
Aspersion:
-Remove the aluminum seal and rubber cap from the vaccine vial.
-Dissolve each 1,000 doses in one liter of sterile diluent.
-Administer the vaccine solution to the chickens using a direct sprayer.
-The use of devices that generate large droplets between 75 and 100 microns is recommended. –
The selected route of administration is directly related to the speed of seroconversion in immunized chickens.
