NPACID PLUS is a feed additive (Acidifiers) designed for protection of feed materials and mixtures against the development of pathogenic bacteria, in particular Salmonella and Escherichia coli.

NPACID PLUS is a mixture of substances from the groups of preservatives including pure forms (organic acids) and their counterparts in the form of buffered substances such as ammonium and calcium salts.
Product Features:
An important advantage of this type of combination between acids and their buffered salts is the possibility of using the product in an environment of complementary mixtures with premixtures, without the risk of interaction.
The product consists of the equivalent of active ingredients: formic, propionic, citric, acetic and lactic acids as well as strong organic acids, mainly bactericidal, with weaker acidification capacity, such as sorbic acid.
The product maintains the dualistic system:
It is a preservative and acidifier for feeds, supports the control of the pH of the upper segments of the digestive system-stomach, and salt forms significantly reduce the risk of product corrosion against equipment in feed production, and at the same time are well transferred to the intestinal section, where as structures chemically neutral, without disturbing the pH of the intestines, they release an acid radical (lacking a hydrogen proton), which acts directly inhibit cells of pathogenic bacteria that live there – by diffusion in the form of a stable acid radical.
NPACID PLUS is a formulation based on formic acid, which has a very strong antibacterial effect, especially against gram-negative bacteria such as Salmonella and Escherichia coli.
Due to the propionic and sorbic acids content, NPACID PLUS inhibits the growth of mold fungi effectively and has stronger effect against Salmonella than pure formic acid.
Citric and lactic acids stimulate the secretion of pancreatic enzymes, and thus support digestion in the small intestine. Another advantage of citric acid is its interaction with antioxidants and its role in microbial fermentation in the large intestine. As well as, lactic acid stimulates the reconstruction process of intestinal microvilli.
