NPACID HERBI is a feed additive (Acidifiers) designed for protection of feed materials and mixtures against the development of pathogenic bacteria, in particular Salmonella and Escherichia coli.
NPACID HERBI is a feed additive (Acidifiers) designed for protection of feed materials and mixtures against the development of pathogenic bacteria, in particular Salmonella and Escherichia coli. Despite commonly used quality systems and controls of critical production points “from field to table”, it still happens that feed material or mixtures are contaminated with pathogenic bacteria, especially Salmonella. Therefore, the best available solution is to protect feed by adding acidifying and preservative agent such as NPACID HERBI.
Product Features:
NPACID HERBI is based on formic acid and their equivalents in the form of buffer substances like ammonium salts by good solubility and stability in terms of dissociation and releasing of acid radicals. NPACID HERBI inhibits the growth of pathogen by reducing the pH. NPACID HERBI has strong antibacterial effect, especially against gram-negative bacteria such as salmonella or Escherichia coli. NPACID HERBI contains oregano oil with very effective ingredients widely used in different forms in feed industry as natural alternatives to antibiotic growth promoters i.e. carvacrol, thymol, phenols with natural odour which enhance appetite and increase feed intake. Synergy of plant extracts and acidifiers results in better feed conversion and weight gain. Due to the presence of propionic acid in NPACID HERBI, this product prevents salmonella better than pure formic acid. In addition to that, NPACID HERBI inhibits the growth of mold effectively.
